On behalf of Match Hospitality AG "Green Hospitality Pty. Ltd", our joint venture of Green Catering (South Africa) and Kofler & Kompanie AG, is responsible for the catering in several areas the Word Cup 2010:
We have been selected to realise nearly 80% of the VIP catering for the Commercial Hospitality Program, not only in the affiliates areas but also in the VVIP areas in the stadiums Bloemfontein (Free State Stadium), Capetown (Green Point Stadium), Durban (Moses Mabidha Stadium), Port Elisabeth (Nelson Mandela Bay), Johannesburg (Soccer City - VIP & Sponsors), Nelspruit, Polokwane and Rustenberg.
We have sent out 42 Containers of equipment to South Africa: 98.000 forks, 79 espresso machines, 830 bread baskets, 724 freezers, 1760 napkin boxes, 4.560 especially designed earthenware slabs to make the Hospitality an unforgotten and once in a life time event. (They have been on their way over sea for several weeks).
On site there will be 52 cooling trucks with more than 1.200 pallets of equipment and 60 food cartages to cover a distance of over 115.000 kilometres, to provide the VIP guests with extraordinary food and fine South African wines and drinks.
During the tournament 4.200 waiters & foodservice assistants will head about 92.000 man hours, additionally to the head crew, which consists of 80 people from Europe. The biggest and most experienced hospitality-team that ever worked together.
We are preparing 2.557 kg of Biltong (a speciality of the south African kitchen, air dried meat), 6.700 litters of different kinds of soup, 79.805 fresh fruit sticks and 191.800 lemon slices for the drinks …
For the 52 games we are taking care of in the stadiums we developed a modular rotation - K|POT - buffet-concept, consisting of 7 different menus. Just to provide the different local delicacies with an international touch in each area at all time.
Not only the variety of food will change within the different categories, but also their ways of preparation and presentation. Our focus is on the particular guest circles in the particular categories.
