Business Report 2015

KP Kofler

2015 was a strong financial year for Kofler & Kompanie
In 2015, international food entrepreneur Kofler clearly exceeded its economic goals and was able to expand its position as a leading premium catering company. In comparison, EBITDA increased by 32 percent (2014: 2,842 TEUR, 2015: 3,764) with a turnover of 45,216 TEUR.

We have succeeded in further expanding our profitability in 2015 – despite the fact that no major events such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil have occurred this year,” says KP Kofler, CEO and founder of Kofler & Kompanie. During the 2014 World Cup, Kofler & Kompanie supervised the hospitality areas in the stadiums of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Belo Horizonte, with around 251,000 guests.

Growth in the German market
We have been able to further expand our position as the leading premium caterer in the German market both as a caterer at the Gallery Weekend in Berlin, with new venues in all our locations and also through the acquisition of the Airport Club Frankfurt,” said KP Kofler.

The prestigious Airport Club, one of the most exclusive business clubs in Europe headquartered at Frankfurt Airport, was taken over at the end of 2015 in collaboration with CR Holding. In the summer of 2016, the club “will undergo a facelift: new target groups will be addressed with younger design and activities, such as co-working spaces and daily memberships,” continued KP Kofler.

Kofler & Kompanie also stood out amongst its competitors on a culinary level: in 2015, street food catering was established as a customer concept and presented to the general public at the pop up dinner experience Pret A Diner.

Positive outlook for 2016
In the current year, along with the company’s 25th anniversary celebrations, there are more plans for growth and acquisition, including talks with a recruiter and acquisitions at both national and international levels. Also on the agenda is the opening of the first fresh casual restaurant “Pachamama” in Berlin, a concept that connects regional, seasonal menus with casual chic and style-oriented atmosphere. In addition, substantial new businesses are being established through three new exclusive venues in Munich.

Internationally, the Asian expansion begins in May and further engagements are in progress in the sports hospitality sector, above all at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The London site is on trend with innovative events and pop-up concepts: “In the second year since the opening of Kofler & Kompanie UK, the development of the “Silicon Valley of the Food Industry” (the British capital) is looking very promising,” said KP Kofler.

Regarding the future plans of the company, KP Kofler says, “our goal is to further increase group sales and earnings from 2015 to 2016, and to allow domestic and international customers to benefit from our innovative services in the catering and hospitality sector“.
