PRET A DINER TAKES STREET FOOD TO THE SKY


Frankfurt – 10th August 2015. “Taking gourmet cuisine to the people was yesterday. Today it’s all about the refinement of street food. Pret a Diner embarks on a unique journey “Around the world in 80 bites”, high above the rooftops of Frankfurt. Street food from around the world will entice guests to step into unknown food territory and voyage on a culinary journey of discovery“, KP Kofler, creator of PRET A DINER, explains during a press event on Monday, 11th August 2015, in NEXTOWER, Frankfurt. From 10th to 27th September together with Jaguar Land Rover the PRET A DINER Team will bring street food culture to the 25th floor of NEXTOWER.

The date has not been chosen randomly: From 17th to 27th September one of the most important events in the automobile world, the International Automobile Exhibition, will take place in Frankfurt. It is therefore fitting that Jaguar and Landrover, the two partners from the very first Pret A Diner, will once again present themselves in true British fashion at the pop-up phenomenon.

For the first time German star chef Tim Mälzer will also be on board with PRET A DINER – AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 BITES. Furthermore, Deutsche Bank and Pret A Diner curate an exhibition with the artist Christian Awe, especially for the occasion.

In addition to culinary delights from all over the world, PRET A DINER presents a wide variety of highlights: international DJs, Singer-Songwriters, dancers and street artists – the PRET A DINER program offers a wide range of colourful diversity. Art, food, fashion, and poetry nights are perfect additions to the overall program.

From internal Show-Case to pop-up phenomenon: In 2004 Kofler & Kompanie presented the PRET A DINER-collection for the first time and brought lifestyle into catering business. Beside Food-Trends Kofler & Kompanie presented fine dining, art and ambience in Zeitgeist spirit. Every collection since then has been developed in tight collaboration with talented, creativ and highly-decorated chefs from all over the world.

In February 2011 the concept got enhanced to a pop-up restaurant, that so far has taken place in different european cities. Since 2011 the dining concept took stage in Berlin, Frankfurt, London, Zürich and also on Art Basel. Furthermore PRET A DINER performed a „one-night-only“ in a villa in Ibiza.
