Kofler & Kompanie Group launches restaurant investment vehicle ‘White Rabbit Fund‘ in London with Chris Miller, ex- Commercial Director of Soho House Group

White Rabbit Fund, a new restaurant investment and advisory business has been launched by Kofler & Kompanie Group and Chris Miller, former Commercial Director of Soho House Group, to help innovative entrepreneurs in the world of food and drink turn their ideas into reality.

White Rabbit Fund was launched to provide not only capital, but also the experience and support restaurateurs need to grow their businesses. Offering operational experties, financial management, budgeting, property sourcing, legal assistance, expansion planning and debt structuring, the ambition is to support new and existing concepts to flourish.

As co-founder of the White Rabbit Fund, we promote promising young gastro start-ups and, through our expertise and knowledge, expand them into successful business models“, explains KP Kofler, CEO and founder of Kofler & Kompanie Group. “London is the Silicon Valley of the food scene – this is where new exciting and daring concepts are being developed at an unbelievably high pace, that is not being seen anywhere else in Europe“, emphasises Kofler.

Chris Miller, Managing Director of White Rabbit Fund, said: “Customers are increasingly discerning, and their growing expectations mean they are looking beyond the big chains for genuine creativity and quality. Even at the top end of the market, there’s a clear move away from stuffy ‘white table cloth’ fine dining. Our role is to help distil these trends into the world-beating, scalable, food businesses of tomorrow.

We are looking at early stage investments of £200k to £1m into groups with zero to ten sites, alongside a bespoke support offering depending on the specific requirement of each company”.

Among White Rabbit Fund’s first tranche of investments is Kricket, the acclaimed modern Indian “small plates and cocktails” concept which is set to open its second London restaurant in Soho at the end of the year.

As a first, very promising project, we’re delighted to accompany Kricket in their expansion. Additionally, we are already in talks with other start-ups with high potential“, says Miller.

The Indian inspired Kricket was launched by Chef Will Bowlby and his Business Partner Rik Campbell to critical aclaim in a converted shipping container at POP Brixton in 2015.

Kricket has already become a firm favorite among celebrity chefs including Pierre Koffmann and Michel Roux Jr, who recently named Kricket as his favorite London restaurant on Bloomberg, stating “places like this are the reason why London is the envy of Paris and New York“

White Rabbit Fund will announce further investments in the coming months. Kofler & Kompanie holds a majority interest in White Rabbit Fund.
